Have you heard that chocolate milk is supposed to be a great post-workout snack for recovery?
Honestly, I don’t need much encouragement to incorporate chocolate into my day so I sometimes make a chocolate milkshake after tough workouts. Thanks to half a frozen banana, it’s cool, refreshing, and just a bit thicker than chocolate milk. A little peanut butter makes this a pretty filling snack…what a treat!
Post Workout Chocolate Milkshake
1 cup milk or almond milk
1/2 frozen banana
1 tsp cocoa powder
2 tsp peanut butter
Blend all ingredients and slurp it down!
It’s totally okay if you work out just so you can have this shake… food rewards are the best. Congrats to you with some chocolatey goodness!
